I have a new...

little helper on my hands!  My baby girl is growing up so fast!  She loves to play with my yarn and "help" me out when I'm working on a new project!

Wow...

I can't believe we just got another snow storm!  Kind of excited though because that means more of my customers get to wear their hats longer this winter!  I love being able to keep people warm!  The sports hats have been pretty popular lately!

School pride is spreading!

Spring fever...

has hit hard in our house!  This is my first year as a stay at home mom and being stuck inside all winter makes me ready for Spring!  I thought I'd start making some of my new Spring Headbands.  Here is a preview of one that is really good for all year round but especially good for those Spring pictures outside and Easter dresses!  These Rosee Posee Headbands are $12 each and can be changed to several different colors and centerpieces!

Time flies...

when your having fun!  It's been so long since I've posted because I can't seem to catch up with myself!  I'm so grateful for that though because the reason I can't keep up is because of all these hats I've been making!  It's great!  I'm so excited that this is going better than I planned and I can't wait to see what the future holds!  I have some new designs and can't wait to post them on my blog for you all to see!  I think my favorite one yet is the cupcake hat that I just made this last week!  Well I hope you all enjoy and I'm looking into starting a website in the near future so be on the lookout fot that!  Thanks to all of my Chunkee Monkee customers and I can't wait for the rest of you to become Chunkee Monkee customers as well!  Have a great Tuesday!

I can't believe...

Christmas is almost here!!!  Yikes!  I have a lot to do.  I can't wait for time with family and friends and a cozy warm blanket with some hot chocolate and my new little babies first Christmas!  I love this time of year and want you all to have a great season as well.  If you are in need of some Christmas presents I know the perfect gift for any age!  Chunkee Monkee Hats are great for this time of year and remember you can design them to match your favorite coat or for any outfit!  If you would like to make it a Chunkee Monkee Christmas please get your orders in by November 15th so I am sure to get them done on time for you!  Enjoy your beautiful day!

Fall 2010

Well we finally took our Fall pictures and got some cute ones!  

I have to be honest, it wasn't easy getting good pics with all 4 girls smiling and looking at the same camera.  We sure did have fun though. 

The weather was beautiful and I think we caught it just in time before the cold front started to move in. 

Hadlee loved the leaves and wanted to eat them all of course!  Who wouldn't want to give them a little taste?

I love waking up to a crisp Saturday morning in the Fall when all the leaves are changing and it is so beautiful on the family farm!  Perfect for some Fall pictures in the leaves! 

Seasons are changing and so is my little baby.  I can't believe she is 6 months old already and eating big girl food now.  Life changes so fast so enjoy every waking moment you get to be with your loved ones! 

We have a family tradition of taking pictures in the leaves at our farmhouse every year and this year all the girls have hats to wear!  We are going to be taking these this week so I can't wait to share these pics with you and make some hats for all of you too!

A great day begins with...

How it all began...

My mom taught me to crochet when I was 7 years old and I've loved it ever since!  I enjoyed making hats in college but never thought I would be brave enough to try and sell them.  With lots of prayer and work I have been able to try it out with success!  I love my life, with a wonderful husband and new 6 month old baby girl, I am able to be a stay at home mom and crochet on the side!  Something I've always wanted to do!  I hope you all enjoy my designs and would love to make a hat or scarf for you or as a gift for a friend!
